My wife and I were looking for some where to go on vacation this year and it’s a tie between Alaska and Maine. We prefer cold weather anyway so maybe Alaska it will be!

ya cop, ak is the best, till it gets -55 like in fairbanks, then it’s a different story. gotta love them extreme temps, like when your car groans when it starts and ya don’t wanna be outside haha
I’ll take the cold over desert scorching heat. I moved from Fairbanks when I was six to Phoenix and I absolutely despise the weather here, not enough rain and it’s CONSTANTLY cloudless.
I don’t miss the Interior of Alaska. I live there for almost 5 years. I don’t miss it because of the extremely short yet intense summers (good) and long dreary perpetual sub-zero winters. I got a good start there and I miss some people there more than I miss the good money and the UGLY cold. “Nuff said…

I mised home is just to cold. but I get a chance to go and visit my family. I tell u one thing go in the summer that is the best time,and if I did not have bad arthritis I could be there with my Mom and brother
I lived in Alaska 12 years, 9 in the Interior, it’s a great and beautiful state, bring some jackets as Alaskans start preparing for winter in August. Hope you have a great time.
